Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Post-Partum Registered Nurse for the Mom Baby Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment and support a collaborative team.

This role emphasizes patient care that is meaningful and centered on mothers and newborns. You will assess and manage care for postpartum patients, educate families on medications and care plans, maintain accurate records, and administer medications per

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse (or compact licensure) and active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication; ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of mothers and/or mom/baby couplets after delivery/birth.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records, posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
