Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Post-Partum Registered Nurse for our Mom Baby Department. You will deliver expert nursing care to mothers and newborns after birth, coordinating plans with families and the care team.

The role emphasizes patient education, safe medication administration, and precise record keeping in a high-acuity setting. Ideal candidates hold Florida RN licensure (or compact equivalent), a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS; NRP within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florid a RN in accordance with state regulations or compact licensure.
• Active FL RN license required within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for mothers and newborns after delivery.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
