Job summary

Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Postpartum unit on a full-time basis. You will work 3x12 hour night shifts (7 pm–7 am) with rotating weekends on the 2 South Postpartum Floor, providing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a couplet care model.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
• State licensure as LPN or LVN.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs and daily living activities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Document patient care and observations accurately.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Assist with obstetrics/postpartum duties and newborn care per unit scope.
