Job summary

Vector Fleet Management, LLC is seeking Automotive/Light Duty Mechanics in Aurora, NC who can perform PMs and repairs and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment. The role offers paid training, a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, and a benefits package starting immediately.

Applicants with at least two years of relevant experience or trade school graduate are encouraged, CDL A or B is a plus. Competitive pay ranging from $25–$35 per hour is offered with 401k matching and holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years automotive/light duty mechanic experience or trade school completion preferred.
• Experience performing PMs and repairs on powered equipment.
• Familiarity with major components and systems (power unit, drive train, suspension, hydraulics, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair components and systems as described.
• Assist in training other mechanics and maintaining shop cleanliness and safety.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED


• Automotive/Heavy Equipment Mechanic will perform PM's and repairs on all types of powered equipment


• Be familiar with all major components and functions to include power unit, drive train, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, etc.


• Perform diagnostics and selected repairs on equipment involving the summary of components and systems stated above


• Automotive/Light Duty Mechanicwill train and assist other mechanics in all areas


• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment. Including but not limited to cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas


• Must possess adequate hand tools required to perform routine repairs and maintenance


• Technical education in a related discipline with experience,or on the job experience that includes performing service and repair on vehicles and/or equipment components and systems summarized above is preferred.


• Valid Driver’s License and pass drug test and background check.
