Vector Fleet Management is seeking Automotive/Light Duty Mechanics in the Aurora, NC area to join a stable, employee-focused team. Earn from $25 to $35 per hour, with holidays and PTO starting day one, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package and a structured training program.

Two years of proven automotive experience or a trade school graduate is preferred; CDL A or B is a plus. Typical schedule is daytime, with steady workflow and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of proven Automotive or Light Duty Mechanic experience or graduate from a Trade School for Mechanics
• CDL A or B is a plus
• Valid Driver’s License and pass drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repairs on powered equipment and vehicles
• Diagnose and repair components and systems including power unit, drive train, suspension, hydraulics, electrical
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist in training junior mechanics

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Automotive/Heavy Equipment Mechanic will perform PM's and repairs on all types of powered equipment
• Be familiar with all major components and functions to include power unit, drive train, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, etc.
• Perform diagnostics and selected repairs on equipment involving the summary of components and systems stated above
• Automotive/Light Duty Mechanicwill train and assist other mechanics in all areas
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment. Including but not limited to cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas
• Must possess adequate hand tools required to perform routine repairs and maintenance
• Technical education in a related discipline with experience,or on the job experience that includes performing service and repair on vehicles and/or equipment components and systems summarized above is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and pass drug test and background check.
