Job summary

Landis+Gyr in Alpharetta, GA, is seeking a Database Administrator II to design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL/EDB databases across enterprise environments. You will work in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision on multiple projects, collaborating with application and infrastructure teams.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2+ years of database administration experience, with PostgreSQL certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of database administration experience.
• PostgreSQL Certified DBA certification.
• Ability to work with demanding customers and resolve production issues quickly.
• Strong SQL and Linux skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL/EDB databases across enterprise environments.
• Produce production support, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades and security patches.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot database issues.
• Develop new or maintain existing databases based on specifications.
• Implement data models and database designs into physical databases.
• Develop and maintain database procedures, triggers, and SQL scripts.
