Job summary

Concordia Lutheran Ministries seeks an LPN to join Concordia at Ridgewood Place. The shift times are 6am-2:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm, 40 hours per week with every other weekend. Responsibilities include administering medications, resident assessments, and supervising care on the unit.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved nursing program with Pennsylvania LPN licensure, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Perks include daily pay, PTO, retirement benefits, and more.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administers medications following all policies and regulations

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN, is a nurse who provides quality nursing care to the residents on a Skilled Nursing unit. The LPN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, which includes the supervision of other professional and non-professional team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Administers medications being careful to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations

2. Completes accurate, complete, and timely resident assessments in order to determine resident problems so nursing care can be planned, implemented, and evaluated

3. Completes accurate, complete, timely legible documentation

4. LPN Communicates significant resident care information to the physician

5. Takes off physician orders and assists with paperwork and referrals to make sure physician orders are carried out

6. Communicates proactively and professionally with residents and families keeping them aware of changes in resident’s condition, incidents, and problem resolution

7. Gives and receives shift reports

8. LPN supervises the care provided on the unit including monitoring quality of care, monitoring completion/accuracy of Nurse Aide documentation, coaching, counseling, praise, delegation, coverage for call-offs

9. Provides treatments and procedures

10. LPN assists Nurse Aides in providing direct care
