Qualifications

  • PhD in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, pharmacology, molecular biology, genetics, neuroscience, or related field.
  • Strong experimental design and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with gene therapy, ophthalmology or vision science is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent laboratory research using molecular cloning, cell culture, transfection, and genome editing.
  • Perform animal studies with mouse models and ocular tissue analyses.
  • Design experiments, optimize protocols, and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Maintain accurate lab records and ensure data quality.
  • Prepare figures, manuscripts, and grant applications.
  • Present findings at seminars, conferences, and collaborative discussions.
