Job summary

The Ozbolat Laboratory at Penn State University invites applications for Postdoctoral Scholars in bioprinting, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Successful candidates will work on NIH- and foundation-funded projects in a multidisciplinary setting.

A Ph.D. in a related field is required, with strong molecular biology, cell culture, imaging, and protein analysis skills. Experience in bioprinting and lab-on-a-chip devices is advantageous and encouraged.

Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical engineering, molecular/cellular/developmental biology, chemistry, or closely related field.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with 2D/3D cell culture models (hydrogels).
• Imaging techniques including TEM, SEM, confocal.
• Protein analysis via immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence.
• Bioprinting and lab-on-a-chip device development an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Join a multidisciplinary lab working on bioprinting, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
• Contribute to NIH and private foundation funded project efforts.
• Develop and apply lab-on-a-chip devices and high-throughput tissue bio-fabrication techniques.
