The Bharti lab at The Pennsylvania State University is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Scholars to work on an NIH-NSF funded project examining the transmission dynamics and spatial trajectories of measles and Ebola outbreaks, with environmental spillover factors. Successful applicants will have GIS or quantitative modeling experience in R/Python and communicate science effectively in English.

These positions are 100% research with no teaching and relocation to Penn State is required; remote

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Epidemiology, Ecology or related field required.
• Experience in GIS or disease modeling with R/Python.
• Strong scientific communication in English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on transmission dynamics and spatial trajectory of outbreaks (measles, Ebola).
