Job summary

The Bharti lab at The Pennsylvania State University in the Biology Department and the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Scholars for an NIH-NSF funded project on human health, movement, and infectious diseases. These positions are 100% research with potential for leadership growth within Penn State’s CIDD.

Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biology, Epidemiology, Ecology, or a related field and experience in GIS/spatial analysis, as well as

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology, Epidemiology, Ecology, or related field.
• Experience with GIS/spatial analysis.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python for quantitative modeling.
• Strong scientific communication in English; French a plus.
• Interdisciplinary backgrounds encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on transmission dynamics of measles and Ebola.
• Collaborate within NIH-NSF funded project teams.
• Publish findings and present at meetings.
• Relocation to Penn State required; remote work not permitted.
