The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. The final candidate will perform experimental, modeling, and analysis tasks to evaluate laser welding models for development, transfer, and process monitoring and control. The candidate will provide materials characterization and modeling support for a research group studying metallic materials for advanced manufacturing. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, with experience in materials characterization, numerical modeling, statistical analysis, and welding metallurgy.
