The Peng Lab in the Department of Ophthalmology at UCLA is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to advance single-cell multiomics, spatial transcriptomics, and viral vector approaches to decode visual system development and degeneration.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field and expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics to lead high-impact projects and contribute to manuscripts, grants, and presentations.
A fully funded Postdoctoral Scholar position supported by recent NIH awards is available in the The Peng Lab (Department of Ophthalmology, UCLA). Our laboratory combines single-cell multiomics (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics), cell-surface proteomics, viral vector
engineering, and computational modeling to decode the development, circuit organization, and degeneration of the visual system. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist trained in neuroscience with expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics to lead high-impact research projects.
