Job summary

The Center of Applications of Mathematics and Statistics to Economics (CAMSE) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in microeconomic theory. The scholar will work with faculty and students on game theory, mechanism design, GE theory, and decision theory, with freedom to pursue research in any area of economic theory.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent international degree) or enrollment in a PhD program.
• No more than three years of post-PhD research experience by start date.
• Experience in mechanism design, game theory, general equilibrium, or decision theory.

Responsibilities

• Participate in seminars and research meetings and publish results in peer-reviewed venues.
• Disseminate research at conferences and seminars to the broader community.
• Develop an independent research portfolio and collaborate on mentored projects with a Berkeley faculty.
• Possibility to teach by applying to the lecturer pool; teaching will be under a lecturer appointment.
