The NCIC Laboratory at the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar to lead RF/mm-wave IC design for a reconfigurable wideband transceiver in advanced CMOS. You will oversee silicon from architecture through measured results, including tape-outs and over-the-air testing with industry partners.

You will also implement the digital baseband on an AMD FPGA, coordinate system integration, and mentor graduate students while contributing to journals and conference publications.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with RF/analog IC focus.
• Strong publication record and academic excellence.
• Extensive tape-out experience with documented silicon results.
• Proficiency in RF/mm-wave IC design in CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS.
• Hands-on measurement with VNAs, signal generators, and high-speed instruments.
• Excellent English writing and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and design RF and mm-wave building blocks through layout, verification, and tape-out.
• Implement and program the digital baseband on an AMD FPGA platform; integrate the FPGA subsystem with the custom silicon front end.
• Lead laboratory bring-up and characterization of fabricated chips, including wideband modulated-signal and over-the-air measurements.
• Coordinate with industry and academic partners on system integration and demonstration milestones.
• Mentor graduate students and prepare technical reports and journal/conference publications.
