The Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance remote sensing algorithms, simulation, and AI/ML methods using the DIRSIG model.

The successful candidate will evaluate instrument performance, contribute to NASA/USGS Landsat goals, and collaborate with leading researchers on topics at the intersection of physics-based simulation, radiative transfer, and artificial intelligence on campus in New York.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a related field.
• Experience conducting independent and collaborative research.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage data and perform reproducible analyses.
• Familiarity with scientific publishing standards.

• Independently conducts research including design and planning of studies, data management, model development, and analysis.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
• Disseminates and publishes results in peer‑reviewed journals, reports, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Assists in the writing of grant proposals.
• May assist in teaching classes.
• May mentor and assist undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• May assist in managing research laboratories.
