Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology's Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance remote sensing algorithms, simulation and AI/ML methods in support of the NASA/USGS Landsat mission.

The successful candidate will use the DIRSIG model to simulate satellite observations, evaluate sensor performance, and develop analyses that inform future sensor requirements, with opportunities to explore AI-enhanced physics-based simulation.

Qualifications

• Plan and execute research projects within remote sensing.
• Develop and apply AI/ML methods to imaging science.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed venues.

Responsibilities

• Independently设计 research plans, data management, and experiments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
