Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking two Postdoctoral Research Associates in the Zhang Lab of the Isakson Center for Neurological Disease Research to study Parkinson’s disease mechanisms at molecular, cellular and circuit levels. Motivated applicants with a Ph.D.

in Neuroscience or related field are encouraged to apply; the successful candidates will design and execute experiments independently. They will analyze data, prepare figures for conferences and manuscripts, and contribute to grant

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field required.
• Experience in neurodegenerative disease research preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full-time research program as agreed upon with PI.
• Conceptualize, design, implement and troubleshoot research protocols.
• Maintain clear and timely records of research activities.
• Collect, analyze and present research data; support manuscripts and grants.
• Contribute to meetings and training of students, staff and visitors.
• Assist in grant writing and project coordination.
