Position Overview

The Musculoskeletal Biomechanics & Rehabilitation Lab in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin has an opening for a full-time postdoctoral scholar. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and evaluation of rehabilitation technologies and interventions to improve mobility and balance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute research studies, procedures and protocols.
• Assist with IRB protocols, participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, and documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess strong communication and analytical skills; thorough knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures; and the ability to implement research projects. Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong background in rehabilitation engineering and biomechanics.
• Experience with human movement analysis, musculoskeletal modeling, or rehabilitation device development and evaluation.
• Strong programming skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, interdisciplinary research team.
