Job summary

The University of Arizona, Tucson Campus, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate I in Immunobiology to study chronic inflammation after ischemic stroke, focusing on human post-stroke neuroimmunology with imaging mass cytometry and transcriptomic analysis of brain tissue.

The successful candidate will design experiments, analyze data, contribute to manuscripts and seminars, and collaborate across disciplines in a dynamic research environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in neuroscience, translational medicine, immunology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or related field by the time of hire.
• Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, transcriptomics, metabolism, bioinformatics or mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments; analyze and interpret data; maintain records.
• Contribute to laboratory intellectual life through discussions, meetings, seminars.
• Develop research questions and experimental strategies; contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, presentations.
• Communicate findings clearly within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
