The Skellam lab at the University of North Texas seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in isolating natural products from complex crude extracts and elucidating structures using HRMS and NMR. You will manage projects, mentor students, and contribute to manuscripts and proposals in a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Chemistry, hands-on LCMS method development, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry required by start date.
• Significant experience with LCMS-based isolation from complex crude extracts.
• Strong HRMS and 1D/2D NMR structural elucidation skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments in consultation with Dr. Skellam.
• Prepare presentations or results for meetings and reports.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication based on experimental results.
• Keep detailed records of data and interpretations.
• Follow all regulatory and safety policies and work effectively with others.
