UMass Amherst is seeking a Post Doctoral Research Associate in Environmental Health Sciences to contribute to NIH-funded toxicology projects. The successful candidate will oversee data collection, manage research assistants, and work with fish populations and cell culture systems, including zebrafish toxicology work and microscopy.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in toxicology, biology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience with cell culture and/or zebrafish toxicology research.
• Experience in the use of statistical analysis software.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and students.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to wear proper personal protective equipment when needed (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses).

Aufgaben

• Assist in development of protocols and experimental designs.
• Conduct toxicity experiments on PFAS chemicals.
• Maintain and breed fish populations and/or cell culture lines for experiments.
• Oversee planning and management of data collection.
• Perform statistical analysis of data.
• Disseminate evaluation results through peer-reviewed publications and oral presentations.
• Supervise undergraduate/graduate research assistants.
• Work with microscopy.
