Boston Children's Hospital's Yu Laboratory in the Division of Genetics and Genomics (Harvard Medical School) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance neurogenetics and genomic medicine. You will work on interdisciplinary projects combining biology, computation, and clinical translation.
The role emphasizes bioinformatics, neuroscience, and translational genomics, with opportunities to lead independent projects and contribute to grant proposals within a collaborative team
The Yu Lab at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research team. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in bioinformatics and neuroscience who are passionate about advancing genomic medicine for neurodevelopmental and rare genetic disorders.
The Yu Lab focuses on autism genetics and translational genomics, integrating genetics, neurobiology, and bioinformatics to understand and treat rare pediatric neurological diseases. The lab is led by Dr. Timothy Yu, Principal Investigator in the Division of Genetics and Genomics at Boston Children's Hospital and Associate Member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
The lab is also pioneering individualized genomic medicine using antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). In 2018, our group developed the world's first fully individualized ASO therapy to treat a young girl with a fatal neurogenetic disorder. Building on this work, we currently have additional n=1 therapeutic programs in preclinical and clinical stages and are collaborating closely with the FDA to establish regulatory pathways for individualized therapies.
The Yu Lab operates at the intersection of genetics, neurobiology, and computational biology, providing a highly collaborative environment at Boston Children's Hospital. Fellows will have opportunities to work with cutting-edge genomic technologies and advanced experimental neurobiological models while contributing to translational efforts that directly impact patient care.
