Job summary

Northeastern University in Boston seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead two clinical trials on pain pathways and neuromodulation within the Movement Neuroscience Lab. You will manage recruitment, ensure protocol fidelity, and coordinate visits with clinical collaborators and staff.

You will develop analysis pipelines for neurophysiologic and biomechanical data, prepare manuscripts, and pursue independent funding while advancing neuromuscular stimulation personalization research.

Qualifications

• PhD in rehabilitation science, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, kinesiology, or closely related field.
• Experience with human participants and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Knowledge of human neurophysiology and motor control.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day conduct of two clinical trials on pain pathways and neuromodulation.
• Manage recruitment, screening, enrollment, retention, and protocol fidelity.
• Coordinate scheduling with clinicians and lab personnel.
• Analyze neurophysiologic and biomechanical data (TMS, EMG, QST, isokinetic dynamometry).
• Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, and grant applications; pursue independent funding.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and data integrity (IRB, REDCap).
• Mentor doctoral and undergraduate students.
