Job summary

The Center for Neuromodulation Research (CNR) at UVA in Charlottesville, VA seeks an experienced Clinical Research Assistant to lead day-to-day operations across clinical trials in non-invasive neuromodulation, including FUS and VNS, for substance use disorders and behavioral addictions.

Under study investigators, you will support recruitment, screening, visit procedures, data entry, and off-site work at community treatment centers, with opportunities to contribute to manuscripts and conference

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, life sciences, psychology, neuroscience, or related field, or equivalent.
• Prior research experience in a clinical research setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage participants with warmth and without judgment.
• Willingness to complete GCP and human subjects protection training (CITI).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to off-site partner locations.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Screen and recruit eligible participants and obtain informed consent.
• Perform vital signs, testing, and urine-based testing per protocol.
• Collect, process, store, and ship study specimens.
• Administer study questionnaires and assessments; report adverse events.
• Schedule visits, coordinate logistics, and maintain study data.
• Ensure participant safety and compliance with GCP/HIPAA.
