Augusta University’s Center for Biotechnology and Genomic Medicine (CBGM) at the MCG invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. The role focuses on advanced scientific and administrative support for translational research, data collection, and protocol development in a dynamic laboratory setting.

The position emphasizes publication quality, collaboration with principal investigators, and the use of high-throughput facilities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work with research animals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project planning and development of research protocols while ensuring adherence to scientific principles and federal guidelines.
• Analyze results of experiments and procedures and develop programs to facilitate analysis; teach and participate in complex lab techniques.
• Coordinate and participate in literature research; summarize findings and present at meetings.
• Compose articles for publication in scientific journals and review others' work.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of students and research staff.
• Advise investigators and other personnel on research techniques and equipment; operate and calibrate complex scientific instruments.
