Job summary

The University of Washington seeks two 2027 Postdoctoral Scholars for the CICOES program to advance research in climate, oceanography, and ecosystem science, including human dimensions and policy. Appointments may be at UW, OSU, or UAF, or at NOAA labs, with mentoring from NOAA scientists and academic faculty.

Appointments are 12 months full-time, renewable for a second year. The base salary range is $6,819–$7,786 per month, commensurate with experience or as per wage determinations.

Qualifications

• PhD evidenced by appointment start date (Sept 2027) in a CICOES-relevant field.
• University of Washington postdoctoral appointment is temporary, defined, not to exceed five years/60 months.

PhD in Marine Biology, Oceanography, Atmospheric Sciences, Biology, Mathematics, or a related field
