Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our translational research team focused on the novel functions of fusion transcriptional factors in rhabdomyosarcoma.

The work is mechanistic and translational, leveraging genetic, epigenetic, cellular and pharmacologic tools to inform better therapies using human and genetic models. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field (molecular/cancer biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, immunology)
• Experience with mouse models; genome editing is a plus
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaborative mindset
• Strong publication record demonstrating scientific rigor and productivity

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments investigating the mechanism of chimeric transcriptional factors in regulating gene transcription.
• Evaluate preclinical efficacy of immunomodulators and the underlying mechanism.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including cancer biologists and clinicians.
• Present findings at national and international meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation and grant proposals.

The research focuses on understanding the novel functions of fusion transcriptional factors in rhabdomyosarcoma.
