A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is immediately available for candidates with demonstrated expertise in one of the following areas: 1) T lymphocyte biology (differentiation, homeostasis, homing, etc.); and 2) macrophage biology. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with relevant publications in the area. The interests of the lab are in understanding how genetic and environmental factors interactions shape mucosal immunity and metabolism. Our approach includes state-of-the-art multi-omics, novel organoid culture, genetically engineered murine models, and human samples. The lab has successfully competed for various funding. The appointment is viewed as a training or transitional period preparatory to an academic, industrial, governmental, or other full-time research or teaching career. Used when the appointee performs specific services on a grant or contract in exchange for compensation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Working Conditions: This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Experience with assays pertinent to T cell or macrophage biology, mouse models (breeding conditional knockouts, genotyping, and experimental procedures), flow cytometry, and microbiota analysis. Experience with primary intestinal stem cell culture is a plus.
