Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Postdoctoral Appointee to advance MEMS sensor technologies for navigation-grade applications. You will perform research, fabrication, and testing of MEMS devices in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to modeling and characterization efforts.

The role requires a PhD in a relevant field and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance; onsite work in New Mexico is expected. Collaboration across MEMS, ASIC, and packaging teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related STEM field conferred within five (5) years prior to employment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

Responsibilities

• Research and development of MEMS based inertial sensors for navigation grade applications
• Fabricate MEMS devices in a cleanroom environment and perform device testing
• Present technical content internally and externally, and collaborate across teams
