Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee to advance MEMS-based inertial sensor technology for national security applications. You will perform R&D across MEMS design, fabrication, packaging, and testing, collaborating with MEMS, ASIC, and packaging teams. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and growth within a multidisciplinary environment.

The position requires a PhD within five years and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance; onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• PhD conferred within five years prior to employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate MEMS devices in a cleanroom environment.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts on inertial sensor materials, fabrication, integration, and testing.
• Develop and validate wafer-level and die-level bonding methods for MEMS devices.
• Coordinate experiments to validate models and analyze data.
• Present technical content internally and to partners and management.
