The Nacev Laboratory in the Division of Malignant Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join a translational research program focused on transcriptomic and chromatin dysregulation in sarcoma, with an emphasis on fusion and translocation driven sarcomas.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular/cancer biology or related field.
• 0–4 years of molecular biology/epigenetics experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and executing epigenomic, transcriptomic, and cell biology experiments.
• Performing transcriptomic analyses, including RNA sequencing.
• Applying CRISPR-based genome engineering to create isogenic models.
• Maintaining human and murine sarcoma cell lines.
• Conducting in vivo murine tumor model studies under IACUC protocols.
• Interpreting multi-omic datasets with bioinformatics staff.
• Presenting findings at meetings and preparing manuscripts.
• Pursuing extramural fellowship and career development funding.
