Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab in the Cockrell School of Engineering. The position is located at the Pickle Research Campus and requires 40 hours per week with exempt status.

The successful candidate will conduct research in mobile manipulation for handling material in nuclear or hazardous environments, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and collaborate with project staff and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in relevant field within the past three years.
• Experience preparing proposals and peer-reviewed papers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carries out research in applied robotics for extreme environments including nuclear/oil & gas and military applications.
• Co-authors peer-reviewed research and publications.
• Collaborates with group members and the PI to define project scope.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
