  • The Department of Neurology at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to develop and apply MRI and PET techniques in neuroimaging to applications involving aging and Alzheimer’s disease. This is an excellent opportunity to conduct innovative neuroimaging research as a member of a team of technical and clinical experts with access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment. The position will be in the neuroimaging and biomarker group led by Dr. Trey Hedden, Director of Neuroimaging and Biomarker Research in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease at Mount Sinai. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual eager to acquire new skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Previous training in PET, functional connectivity MRI, or diffusion-weighted MRI is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PET or MR imaging and analysis and a willingness to explore and develop new analytic methods for multi-modality imaging analysis. The candidate should have a PhD in Neuroscience, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. The primary project involves PET imaging in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease and the integration of PET and MR techniques. Position responsibilities include independent research, contributions to publications and grants, and leadership roles within the program. Salary will be commensurate with the cost of living in New York. Subsidized housing close to the Mount Sinai campus is available for qualifying postdocs. Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
