Description

Postdoctoral Associate role open to study Multiomics of HIV-1 latency and cure

Postdoctoral/Senior Scientist position is available to investigate the molecular mechanisms of HIV-1 persistence, HIV reservoir, and cure strategies using advanced humanized mouse models of infection. We are employing molecular virology, genetic lineage tracing methods, single cell multi-omics, and confocal imaging approaches to learn how HIV-1 spreads and persists in tissue sites during antiretroviral treatment. The research tests new paradigms for understanding HIV-1 dissemination, persistence and the nature of the HIV-1 reservoir.

Responsibilities

The appointment will be at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and in the Immunology Institute. Those with background and expertise(s) in virology, humanized xenograft models, computational genomics, intravital imaging, and/or cellular immunology are particularly encouraged to apply.
