Job summary

The Mass Spectrometry Technology Access Center (MTAC) at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking postdoctoral associates with expertise in untargeted and targeted metabolomics/lipidomics to advance multiple proteomics-related projects on mass spectrometry platforms.

Successful candidates will design and execute experiments, develop robust workflows, and contribute to publications, presentations, and collaborative grant-related efforts.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree required.
• Expertise in untargeted and targeted metabolomics/lipidomics preferred.
• Experience building robust workflows for untargeted pipelines.
• Experience developing quantitative targeted assays (PRM) using Skyline or equivalent.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage core projects, including experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
• Develop and optimize research methods and workflows.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mass spectrometry instruments and LC systems.
• Prepare presentations and contribute to manuscripts and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
