Job summary

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral fellowship. The lab studies normal and malignant hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells and how metabolites shape the tumor microenvironment and genetic effectors.

The successful candidate will use CRISPR/Cas, metabolomics, optogenetics, and fiber photometry to uncover mechanistic insights, identify drug targets, and develop novel therapeutics for hematologic malignancies.

Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical sciences required.
• Experience with flow cytometry and metabolomics analysis or optogenetics and fiber photometry.

Responsibilities

• Investigate roles of metabolites and genetic effectors in hematopoietic malignancies using CRISPR/Cas and metabolomics.
• Identify drug targets and mechanisms to understand environmental signals on blood cell development and cancer.
• Contribute to development of innovative therapeutics for hematopoietic malignancies.
