Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Associate Staff Scientist in the Division of Gastroenterology to study immune-mediated liver injury and fibrosis in pediatric autoimmune liver disease. The lab uses iPSC-derived systems and mouse models with collaborations across autoimmune liver disease research teams.

The successful candidate will have a PhD and strong molecular biology skills (RT-PCR, ELISA, Western), flow cytometry and histology, plus RNA-seq/bioinformatics

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in biomedical research.
• Experience with gene expression quantification (RT-PCR) and protein analysis.
• Proficiency in immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry.
• Background in bioinformatics and RNA-seq analysis encouraged.
• Experience with mouse/human immunology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and lab administration for hepatobiliary disease studies.
• Develop iPSC-derived and organoid models to study PSC/AIH.
• Manage data collection, analysis, and lab records per protocol.
• Publish findings and present at meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and mentors.
• Assist in grant writing and budget monitoring.
