Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow or Associate Staff Scientist in the Gastroenterology division to study immune-mediated liver injury, bile duct damage and fibrosis using mouse models and iPSC-derived organoid systems. The ideal candidate will have a PhD and strong molecular biology skills including RT-PCR, ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD in Biomedical Research required.
• Experience with gene expression quantification (RT-PCR) and protein analysis (ELISA, Western).
• Immunohistochemistry and high‑parameter flow cytometry with cell culture experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and execute scientific research and lab experiments.
• Maintain accurate records and supervise lab staff and core facilities.
• Publish findings; present at meetings; assist in grant writing and budgeting.
• Lead and train junior staff; contribute to team scientific discussions.
• Prepare and optimize new protocols and assays; ensure biosafety and IRB/IACUUC compliance.
