Job summary

Augusta University’s Immunology Center of Georgia seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance genetic studies of cardiovascular diseases using in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo approaches. You will join a diverse team applying GWAS, molecular QTL, single-cell RNA and ATACseq, and CRISPR screening to unravel disease mechanisms.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in computational biology or related field, and thrives in collaborative environments with data sharing across national and international

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent from an accredited college or university in computational biology.

Responsibilities

• Apply in-silico and in-vitro/in-vivo methods to study cardiovascular disease genetics.
• Work with large datasets and national/international collaborations.
• Prepare written and oral presentations for team and public.
• Supervise staff and students.
• Maintain and organize large genetic data and summary statistics.
• Collaborate with computational and wet-lab biologists for mechanism elucidation.
