The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to study the host genetic landscape of HPV-driven cellular immortalization and transformation. The project uses genome-scale CRISPRi/CRISPRa screens and downstream mechanistic studies to validate hits, in a collaborative multi-institute setting.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in virology or related fields and a strong record of publications.

Formación

• PhD in virology, microbiology, genetics, immunology, or a closely related field.
• A record of leading projects successfully through publications and conferences.
• Experience with functional genomics and CRISPR screens (CRISPRi/CRISPRa).
• Experience in virology assays and handling primary human cells.
• Bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and perform experiments essential to project success.
• Lead validation and mechanistic characterization of CRISPRi/CRISPRa hits.
• Consult literature and staff to troubleshoot experiments.
• Develop new methods and technologies relevant to the project.
• Maintain detailed experimental records and share protocols.
• Contribute to grants, papers, and patents.
