Job summary

The Hwang laboratory at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to investigate the host genetic landscape of HPV-driven cellular immortalization and transformation. The project builds on genome-scale CRISPRi/CRISPRa screens and aims to validate hits and characterize mechanisms, with opportunities to publish and contribute to grants.

You will lead hit validation and mechanistic studies, work in a collaborative multi-lab setting, perform virology

Qualifications

• PhD in virology, microbiology, genetics, immunology, or related field.
• Proven record of publications and conference presentations.
• Hands-on experience with CRISPR screens and functional genomics.
• Experience with virology assays and primary human cells handling.
• Bioinformatic analysis of screen and sequencing data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and carry out experiments for the project.
• Lead validation and mechanistic studies of hits.
• Troubleshoot with literature and supervision.
• Develop new methods and technologies for the project.
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to grants and publications.
