Mike He. The role includes serving as a teaching assistant and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, with opportunities to lead research write-ups and help prepare new grant applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Health required.
• Advanced mastery of statistical programming in R and Python.
• Strong data analysis and data management skills.
• Excellent written communication and manuscript/grant writing experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior experience with machine-learning based prediction modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct predictive models for air pollution and meteorological data using machine-learning methods.
• Conduct epidemiologic analyses of environmental mixtures on immune-based outcomes in children.
• Train on and apply advanced statistical methods in environmental health research.
• Assist with teaching courses at Barnard as Teaching Assistant and Guest Lecturer.
• Prepare and lead manuscript write-ups for the conducted research.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers.
• Assist with grant applications and new proposals.
• Direct supervision of routine project work following established policies.
