Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead research on immunoprophylactics for military-relevant enteric pathogens.

You will work closely with a collaborative team to purify antigens, engineer bacterial proteins, and develop prophylactic products. You will design experiments, troubleshoot protocols, and contribute to data interpretation, grant writing, and presentations for the NMRDC team and collaborators.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Molecular Biology is required.
• 0-5 years of experience is acceptable for this postdoctoral role.
• Demonstrated skills in microbiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to discovery and development of immunoprophylactic products.
• Purification and characterization of antigens from enteric bacteria.
• Designs and executes detailed experimental protocols and analyzes data.
• Maintains thorough lab records and collaborates with team members.
• Prepares reports, summaries, and manuscripts for publication.
