Job summary

Northwestern University Science in Human Culture Program in Evanston invites applications for two-year postdoctoral fellowships in the contextual study of science, technology, or medicine. Fellows will be affiliated with SHC and a disciplinary department, pursue independent scholarship, and supervise two undergraduate courses annually.

Salary includes base pay of $63,480–$65,000 plus $3,500 per year for research and conference travel and up to $1,500 for relocation in the first year.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) must have been completed after Sept 1, 2022.
• Candidates without a Ph.D. must finish all requirements by Sept 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Engage in independent scholarship under faculty mentorship.
• Design and teach two undergraduate courses per year across affiliated departments.
• Organize and participate in SHC visiting lecturer series and public lectures.
