The Xiao Lab in the Department of Physiology at MCW seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join an interdisciplinary program studying the genetic and epigenetic basis of cardiometabolic diseases. We integrate experimental and computational approaches to translate discoveries into new strategies for prediction, prevention, and treatment.

The successful candidate will conduct physiological studies using mouse models and analyze mouse and patient-derived cells and tissues with omics

Qualifikationen

• PhD or MD in physiology, genetics, genomics, or related field.
• Experience with mouse models and mammalian cell culture preferred.
• Strong molecular biology and biochemistry skills; immunoblotting a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead projects on genetics, epigenetics, and inter-organ crosstalk in cardiometabolic diseases.
• Perform physiological studies using mouse models and human tissues.
• Generate and analyze large-scale omics datasets (single-cell, spatial, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Prepare manuscripts, progress reports and grant applications; present at meetings.
• Mentor trainees and contribute to a collaborative lab environment.
