Job summary

CU Boulder invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering and the Materials Science and Engineering Program. The appointee will design and conduct experiments on biological repair of aged concrete under joint supervision of Prof. Mija Hubler and Prof.

Wil Srubar. The initial appointment is for 1 year with potential extension, starting salary $65,000 annually.

Qualifications

• PhD in civil engineering, biological engineering, materials science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Strong technical foundation in lab-scale materials synthesis and characterization techniques (SEM, XRD, XRF, DSC, TGA, FTIR, zeta potential, particle size analysis, mechanical testing).
• Experience in statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments on the biological repair of aged concrete.
• Support technology transfer activities to assist commercialization of the work.
• Contribute to a cross-disciplinary research team at CU Boulder.
