Focus Forward Counseling and Consulting seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow in Assessment & Evaluation to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop treatment recommendations under supervision. This onsite, full-time role is based in Alpharetta, GA with flexible weekday hours.

Postdoctoral Fellow – Assessment & Evaluation

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annual salary for doctoral level candidates; paid bi-weekly

Employment Type: W-2, Full-Time Employee; Non-Exempt

Schedule: Flexibility to schedule between the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-7pm

Location: This is an onsite role based out of Alpharetta, GA

This position would start August or September 2027.

Role Summary

The Postdoctoral Fellow is a critical role designed for individuals who have recently completed their doctoral training in a mental health-related field with an emphasis on assessments and evaluations. This position offers an opportunity to gain supervised clinical experience, expand professional skills, and contribute to our clinical services, with a focus on assessment.

Postdoctoral Fellow Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnostic interviews and psychological testing.
• Assist in the development of treatment plans and recommendations based on assessment findings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Stay current with research literature and best practices in the field.
• Participate in clinical supervision with licensed psychologists to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Postdoctoral Fellow Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annualized salary; paid bi-weekly

Requirements

Postdoctoral Fellow Required Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) or LLP in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Completion of all doctoral program requirements and eligible for postdoctoral training in Georgia.
• Experience with evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and/or adults preferred.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to professional development and supervision under licensed psychologists.
