Job summary

The Rizzo laboratory at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine - Aging Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to lead an independent project investigating therapeutic interventions to prevent cognitive decline associated with normal aging and Alzheimer's disease pathology.

The lab uses preclinical model systems and translational approaches towards identifying disease and symptom-modifying mechanisms.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD required.
• Experience with mouse models and phenotypic characterization.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead an independent project investigating therapeutic interventions for aging- and AD-related cognitive decline.
• Work with preclinical models and translational approaches.
• Contribute to consortium efforts and preclinical evaluation of potential interventions.
