Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
• Publications in machine learning or computational neuroscience preferred.
• Experience with real-time data analysis and neurophysiological signals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, adapt, and deploy advanced ML algorithms for real-time neurophysiological data analysis.
• Integrate AI-based optimization models into experimental and clinical workflows, including intraoperative and at-home settings.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and neurologists to design and execute clinical research.
• Maintain high standards of reliability and safety in human clinical environments.
• Communicate effectively across technical and medical teams, contributing to publications and translational milestones.
• Support the development and application of novel computational techniques for automated DBS programming.
• Work with Graduate Research Assistants to implement, evaluate, and refine technical methods proposed on the sponsored project.
• Disseminate research results through peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
